Dorothy L. (Nelson) Krull, age 93 of Hobart, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Horton VNA Hospice in Valparaiso.
Dorothy had been a Hobart resident for 70 years and employed at Krull & Sons Engineering for approximately 50 years. She was a member of the D.A.R. and the Liverpool Baptist Church. Dorothy was a devoted mother and grandmother who attended many of her grandchildren's activities and events.
Dorothy is survived by three children: Lela Ann (Roger) Sullivan of Hobart, Merry Benke of Portage and Dennis (Karen) Nelson of Hobart; three step-children: Steve (Nancy) Krull of Hobart, Mike (Dawn) Krull of Hobart and Jim (Karen) Krull of Kansas City, MO; 25 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; sister, Lela May (Tony) Arons of Penrose, CO; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dacre Nelson; second husband, Robert Krull; twin brother, Donald Foley; brother, Charles Foley; and two great grandsons: Joshua Hall and Ricky Benke.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, with Rev. Steve Campbell officiating.
