OBITUARY: Mrs. Minnie Hahn, 84, died yesterday afternoon at 5 in her home. She had been in ill health for the last few years, and seriously ill since Sunday. The body was taken to the Slaymaker funeral home.
Mrs. Hahn was born in Germany Jan. 14, 1864, and came to this country at the age of 3, with her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Peter Mahlstedt. She had since resided in Rock Island and Whiteside Counties.
She was married to John F. Hahn Jan. 18, 1883. The observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1933.
The couple came to Erie in 1911, and had since resided here. Mr. Hahn's death occurred in April, 1943. A son Gust E. Hahn, died in January, 1934.
Surviving are two sons, Fred of Tampico and Frank of Erie; five daughters, Mrs. Ernest Bacon, Mrs. Sadie Gallagher, Mrs. Bessie Seger and Mrs. Harry Wood, all of Erie. and Mrs. Robert Olson of Indianapolis, IN. a sister, Mrs. Mrs. Emma Fillmer of Hillsdale: 17 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hahn was a member of the Erie Baptist church where she regularly attended church.
Preceding her in death, besides the husband and son, Gust, were five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 in the Erie Baptist church, with the Rev. L.E. Ellison, pastor. officiating. Burial will be in Erie cemetery.
