Mrs. Cynthia Woodby, 88, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Brown, of Beaverton, on Monday, May 7. Funeral services will be held at the Dale Methodist church on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Donald Sailor will officiate and burial will be in the Dale cemetery. Cynthia Honeycut was born in Yancy county, North Carolina, on April 20, 1863. She married William Woodby on January 16, 1880. They came to Gladwin county about 50 years ago. Mr. Woodby passed away in 1924.
Surviving are two sons, Fred Woodby of Beaverton and William I. Woodby of Flint; three daughters, Mrs. Zetta Brown of Beaverton, Mrs. Marie Webber of Worchester, Massachusetts and Mrs. Clara Hayman of Metamora, Ohio; two brothers, Joseph Honeycut and Nathan Honeycut, both of North Carolina; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren also 2 great-great-grandchildren. One son and one daughter preceded their mother in death. Mrs. Woodby's grandsons will act as pallbearers. Gladwin County Record dated 05-09/1951 Column - 5 Page - 1
