Funeral services for George Bennett Shepherd, 63, of 208 East Ninth, a retired farmer, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Chapel at Terrell. The Rev. Earl Mead will officiate. Burial will be in Wills Point, Van Zandt County.

Shepherd died Monday at his home after a heart attack. He had lived most of his life in Cobb, Kaufman County, and had been a resident of Dallas for the last 14 years. He was a Mason and a member of the Boethian Class at Cliff Temple Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, George B. Shepherd and Jack B. Shepherd of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. Woodrow W. Davis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Dow O. Jenkins of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Dora Rice of Keene, Johnson County; two brothers, Henley Shepherd of Fort Worth and Henry Shepherd of Wills Point, and 11 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Hershel Maddox, Glen Gooch, Frank Oxford, Marshall Causbie, Sam Wagoner and George Neal.
