Benjamin Benton Cantrell was one of seven sons born to William Taylor Cantrell and Ida Florence Gunn Cantrell. He grew up in Texas, joining the service during WWII. He lived in Tacoma WA, most of his life.
His brothers were: John Osman, Gerald Burns, James Jefferson, Arthur Ross, Charles Eugene and Ruby (Rube)Alberta Cantrell. Two sisters, Golden Isabel and Stella Vivian died as children.
