Mary Taylor married J.G. Bowling 20 November 1904 in Van Buren County, Arkansas. (Ancestry.com)

Died at 82 years of age.
--------------------------------------
Papa, Uncle Clint, & Uncle John Gordon (my Great Uncles) were full brothers. John Thomas was their 1/2 brother. They had the same Daddy, Wm. Thos. "Uncle Bill" or "Squire" Bowling by his 1st wife, Mary Molly Hubbard, who came to Arkansas with him. Mary Molly (Hubbard) Bowling died leaving several children, who were raised by "Squire" 2nd Wife, Lue (Durham) Bowling. He always made her (Grandma Lue) call him "MISTER Bowling".

She raised the children in her ready made family as if they were her own by birth. Uncle John Thomas "TOM"Bowling always went by "TOM". It is ironic that Squire had 2 sons whose first name was JOHN; however, the eldest was Uncle TOM, the younger Uncle JOHN Gordon was the one who went by JOHN. He & Aunt MARY (Taylor) Bowling had Marvin & Zona. Zona had polio as a teenager, was bedridden the rest of her life, never married & never had any children. Her older brother Marvin, a US Navy veteran who served in ILLINOIS, never married. When Uncle John had his stroke, confining him to a wheel chair & Aunt Mary had a major heart attack confining her to a wheelchair, Marvin came home to stay. He took care of his Mom, Dad, & younger sister til each passed away, never a complaint in so doing for each of the 4 were born again New Testament Christians (Romans 16:16) members of the Culpepper Mountain, AR Church of Christ.

In addendum, Marvin, my double cousin, my Christian brother, & my brother Freemason, was, as we say: "An upstanding man & mason" who happily & who LITERALLY lived up to his duties as a son, a brother, a New Testament Christian, & a Freemason.
