Mrs. Georgia Ritha McNair, age 79, of Marietta, GA passed away Saturday, August 29, 2009.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2009, in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna, GA with the Rev. Tony Powers officiating.
Interment will be in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, GA.
A long time resident of Cobb County, Mrs. McNair was formerly employed by the State Attorney General's Office and retired from the Fulton County Court System after 30 years.
She had been a recent member of First Baptist Church of Smyrna, GA and a 38 year member of Norton Park Baptist Church.
Mrs. McNair was a volunteer senior aerobics instructor at Freeman Poole Senior Center and the ELM group at the Marietta First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Patricia McNair of Austell, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Robert Bennett of Sharpsburg, GA; grandsons, Steven D. McNair, Joseph R. McNair, John Garrett Bennett, Robert Paul Bennett; great-granddaughters, Ramey and Kaelyn McNair; sister-in-law, Mary Poole; aunt, Bessie Penn; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2009 and Friday, September 4, 2009 at the funeral home.
