On December 20, 2004, her deceased husband's birthday, at her home in Richwood, Texas, Catherine Eugenia Potter Oldham passed to her eternal rest.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, William Durman Oldham; daughter, Carolyn Anderson and her husband, Jim; son, Lloyd Oldham and his wife, Mary Lou; grandchildren Michael Acord, Arthur Oldham and Heather Ballard; parents, George Michael Potter and Cornelia Caroline Sue Potter; brothers, Douglas and Seth Potter; and sister, Eunice Green.

She was born in Brunswick County, North Carolina. She married W.D. in 1929 and they and their four children moved to Freeport, Texas, on December 7, 1940, remaining there until they built a home in Richwood in 1952.

She is survived by daughters Fay Hudson (Homer) of Jersey Village and Annette Johnson (Bill) of Columbia Lakes, grandchildren Randy Acord of Richwood, Chris Oldham (Renee) and Greg Oldham (Jackie) of Lake Jackson, Mary Catherine Matt of Angleton, Mark Johnson (Leah) of Martinez, California, Donna Jones of Victoria, Connie Hudson of Bellville, Cindy Newby (Glenn) of Harlingen, James Anderson and Terry Roth (Joe) of Chicago, 20 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
