Fay Carolyn Allison was born to John Worth Beall and Fannie Gertrude Morris Beall in Fitzgerald, Georgia. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia. She taught school in Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. During World War II, she held civil service jobs at Warner Robins Air Depot in Macon, GA, the Ports of Embarkation at Charleston, South Carolina, New Orleans and the War Department in Washington, DC. She and her husband lived in New Haven, Connecticut, Pampa, Texas, Perryton, Texas and Oklaunion, Texas. They moved to Midland, Texas in 1952. She taught school until she retired in 1971. Her husband preceded her in death in 1972.

Mrs. Allison was a member of First Baptist Church and was active in the Retired Teachers Organization, The Pyracantha Garden Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Senior Center. Carolyn was loved, respected and cherished by all who know her. She will live on in the hearts of all whose paths she crossed.

Survivors include a daughter, a son, and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Mrs. R.W. Godwin of Lenox, Geogia.
