Mrs.Isola Burke Reese,wife of Jonathan D. Reese of Dalton City died Tuesday in a Jacksonville Hospital.She was sixty-six years old last November.She had been in failing health since a year ago when she suffered a stroke of paralysis.
Mrs. Reese's maiden name was Isola Burke.She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Burke and was born in Dalton City,Nov.27,1864.
She and J.D. Reese were married in 1883.She was a member of the United Brethern Church in Dalton City and was known to everybody.
She is survived by her huaband and two children,Frank Reese of Effingham and Mrs. Nina Orr of Dalton City.There are
fifteen grandchildren.
She also leaves thee sisters Mrs. Laura Ridle and Miss Elizabeth Burke both of Augusta, and Mrs. Gladys Hamner,Monroe City Mo. The body was brought to Decatur and
taken to Monson Funeral Home.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon by Rev. Charles Martin of Smithfield in the United Brethern Church in Dalton City. The burial was in the Mt.Zion Cemetery.
