Services for Mrs. Ida Mae Osburn, 99, Sparta, were bat 2 p.m. Wednesday in Harris Chapel with the Revs. Bill Mabury and Carl Thompson officiating. Burial was in Sparta Cemetery. Mrs. Osburn died at 7 p.m. Sunday in her home after an illness of several months. A lifelong Christian County resident, she was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Virgil, Sparta; two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Searles and Mrs. Merle Race, both Sparta; eight grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren, 26 great great grandchildren and three great great great grandchildren. Preceding her in death her husband, Spurgeon; a son Kenneth Osburn.
