Obituary published in the Hood County News January 9, 1008, page 7: Adrian "Bettye" Booth, 81, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2008 in Fort Worth. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church, 301 Loop 567. Adrian Merrill was born November 26, 1926 in Lubbock to Adrian Allen Merrill and Mary Mattie Vaughn Merrill. She married John F. Booth Sr., January 29, 1945 in Anacortes, Washington. Mrs. Booth loved meeting new people and she was very involved in the Granbury Newcomers Association. She loved to play duplicate bridge and participated with many bridge clubs, also serving as an excellent instructor. She was a master handicrafter and loved to crochet. Mrs. Booth loved her granddaughters and the many friends she made were friends for life. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, John F. Booth Sr. on July 8, 2003. Survivors are sons John F. Booth Jr., Brian Booth and wife, Bradley Booth; 2 granddaughters and many friends. Final arrangements by Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury.
