Wanda Jo Rudy, 67, a resident of Skamokawa for 17 years, passed away Aug. 11, 2008.

She was born to Merle and Delcie (Ryan) Davis Sept. 10, 1940, in Dumas, Texas. She graduated from R.A. Long High School in 1959 and married Jeen Rudy in Longview that same year.

Wanda owned and operated the Oasis Tavern in Skamokawa for 10 years, before becoming ill. She loved to play pool, socialize with friends, read and go fishing. She was a talented artist who painted in oils. Wanda was a member of the Longview Moose Lodge since 1988.

She is survived by a son, Douglas Rudy of Vancouver; a sister, Linda Roseberry of Cathlamet; her mother, Delcie Davis of Cathlamet; a nice; two nephews; and two great-nieces.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Jeen, in 1988; and a daughter, Denise Roulette, in 2005.

A celebration of Wanda's life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Longview Moose Lodge.
