The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 4, 2010, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Paul Sisk officiating. Interment will follow in Mayodan Municipal Cemetery.
Mrs. Pike was born July 21, 1917, in Stokes County, to the late Fred Amos and Annie Shaffer Amos. She was retired from Burlington Industries and a member of First Baptist Church of Mayodan. She was a loving wife and mother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons and two brothers, Clavis and Bernard Amos.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Charles Pike; sons, Donald Wayne Strickland and wife, Phyllis, of Cary and Charles Ray Pike of Mayodan; daughter, Charlene Pike Gann and husband, Douglas "Bo", of Mayodan; brother, Curtis Amos, of Sandy Ridge; 8 grandchildren including special granddaughter, Tasha Gann, and 9 great-grandchildren.
