Mr. Fount Roe Kelsay of the Shearer Valley community passed away Thursday, October 16 at the Wayne County Hospital. He was born January 9, 1896. He was the son of the late Jester G. Kelsay and Ellen Koger Kelsay.
He was a member of the Shearer Valley Church of Christ.
He was married to Lucille Crawford on December 26, 1922. She preceded him in death by two months and ten days.
He is survived by one son, Roe Bertie; two daughters, Laura Dunagan and Rose Huffaker; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
He was a veteran of World War I (September 18, 1917 to August 6, 1919)
