Morehead - Mable Alexander Welch, 85, of 1109 Dry Creek Road, Clearfield, died Sunday, Dec 7, 1997, near her home.
She was born Jan 21, 1912, in Menifee County to the late Daniel Boone Alexander, and Sarah King.
A retired nurse, she was a member of the Slab Camp Christian Church and enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. William Welch, on Feb 12, 1968; one son Allen Ray Welch, in 1951; two brothers, Arthur Alexander and James Alexander; two sisters, Ethel Becraft, and Gladys Daugherty.
Surviving are one daughter and son -in - law Jean & Ray Smedley, of Clearfield. One grandson Jeffrey (Patty) Smedley, of Clearfield. Two great grandsons Jeremy and Joshua Smedley.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, Dec 10, at the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Moore, officiating. Burial at Lee Cemetery.
Special music; Slab Camp Christian Church singers.
