Grace Berge, 90, of Harmony, died Sunday at Harmony Health Care.
Grace was born on Dec. 27, 1918, to Alister and Esther Ferguson, on a farm in rural Lanesboro.
She married Carl Berge on Jan. 16, 1937. They had nine children, five boys and four girls.
Grace worked at home on the farm and also at Harmony Health Care for more than 20 years. Grace was very active in her church, Greenfield Lutheran, and her church circle. Grace was committed to the mission of the church and helping others gave her much happiness. She was devoted to her family, which includes 25 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Family was the cornerstone of Grace's life, and she loved her family with great passion.
Survivors include Harold (Rose Marie) Berge of Harmony, Stanley (Ellen) Berge of Dodge Center, Marilyn G. (Merl) Groteboer of Rochester, Barbara (Keith) Simmons of Linden, Iowa, James M. (Barb) Berge of Racine, Julianne (Rodney) House of Ostrander, Nancy Berge of Rochester and Jerry (Daneece) of Houston, Texas. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Berge; her daughter, Carol Schroeder; and her son, Joel Berge.
Funeral Services will be at Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 1 p.m. The Rev. Bob Stoskopf will be officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.
