Shirley Ann Wilkerson, of Midwest City was born June 23, 1936 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Aaron Dutton Owens and Lovie Jewel Blevins Owens.
She passed away December 9, 2008 at Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years.
Shirley was married to Jacky Ray Wilkerson at Gainesville, Texas on May 10, 1965. She was a warehouse foreman with Chromalloy Division Oklahoma for 30 years. She was raised in Pauls Valley and lived here until 1965 when she moved to Midwest City. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Midwest City.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron & Lovie Owens; her husband, Jacky Ray Wilkerson; brothers, R. C. Owens & Johnny Owens; sisters, Margaret Wood & Gayle Yarborough.
Surviving family include her 6 children, Peggy Yvonne Allen, Elbert Gerald Capps and his wife, Lydia and Rhonda E. Lunsford and husband, Kevin, all of Midwest City (Rhonda and Kevin were living in Parker, CO at the time of death); Vickie Lynn Reiley and her husband, Mike, of Springfield, Illinois; Jacky Ray Wilkerson, Jr. & his wife, Sherry, of Choctaw (OK); Robyn Sheila Wilkerson of Lubbock, Texas; 2 brothers, Bobby Owens and her wife Carolyn and Archie Pingleton and wife, Brenda, all of Pauls Valley; a sister, Christine Cantwell and her husband, Jack, of Moore; 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, December 12, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Olivet Cemetery officiated by Pastor Gerald Lunsford. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
