Surviving are his wife, Alice Joan Callahan, Pulaski; daughter & son-in-law, Regina C. Farris & Carl S. Farris, Jr. of Hillsville; sons, Matthew Paul Callahan, Richmond, VA, Gregory Neal Callahan, Hickory, NC, James Patrick Callahan & his wife, Donna Callahan of Hawaii; six grandchildren; one surviving brother, Louis Callahan, Dublin, VA; sisters, Audrey Pike, Wytheville, Ruth Coe, Wytheville, Joyce Hackler, Wytheville, Vickie Eddy, Roanoke, Thelma Callahan, Wytheville. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, April 23 at Grubb Funeral Home, Wytheville, Va. Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 24, 2 p.m. at Grubb Funeral Home, Wytheville. Interment will follow in the West End Cemetery, Wytheville with sons and nephews serving as pallbearers. Grubb Funeral Home, Wytheville, Va. is in charge of the arrangements.
