Edna J. Goodsell was born in Nodaway, Iowa, January 24, 1868 and died in Des Moines, Iowa, March 18, 1897, at 9 o'clock p.m. The body was brought to Nodaway for burial and the funeral services were held from the M. E. Church Sunday at 11 a.m. conducted by the pastor, assisted by Rev. Mr. Rowley. Mrs. Goodsell was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Orme, and was married to James W. A. Goodsell on April 20, 1892. She was converted early in life and joined the M. E. Church. She was a sincere Christian, devoted to her Master, and her life was consistent and beautiful. She leaves a husband, mother, and three brothers. The bereaved have the sympathies of a host of friends.
