"Charles H. Pinkstone, 69, of 7112 Ogden Place, for nearly 50 years engaged in the textile industry in Utica, died this morning in St. Luke's Hospital after an illness dating from last May. Mr. Pinkstone was born in Plymouth, England, April 8, 1863, and came to this city in 1874. He had worked in the Globe Woolen Mill for 25 years, most of the time as foreman. In 1904 he went to the Utica Steam & Mohawk Valley Cotton Mills and worked there 24 years. Mr. Pinkstone was a member of Bayre Memorial Presbyterian Church and Jubilee Lodge 244 ... In 1890 he married Jennie Young, who survives with one daughter, Mrs. Earl Webster, Utica. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Ellsworth Reese, Utica; two brothers, William Pinkstone of Utica and Edwin Pinkstone of Philadelphia, Pa.; also several nephews and nieces."
