He is survived by his wife, Janice; children, Timothy (Kishiko) Vance, Rebecca (David) Menken and Jessica (James) Schuster; five grandchildren; and a sister, Carol Bowyer.
His memorial service was April 28, 2007, at Como Park Lutheran Church.
