Funeral service for Charles (Charlie) Davis, 76, Memphis Tenn., who passed away May 25, 2005, at St. Francis Bartlett Hospital, Bartlett Tenn., will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, in the chapel of Church of Christ Beville Road, with the Rev. Raymond Seig officiating. Calling hours are from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today (Monday, May 30) at Baggett and Summers Funeral Home. Charlie was born May 9, 1929, in Daytona Beach, where he worked as a barber until he retired and moved to Memphis Tenn., six years ago. Charlie served as chaplin of the Sunrise Civitan Club and had the honor of serving as deacon at the Church of Christ Beville Road. Left to cherish his memories are, a devoted wife of 49 years, Aileen Davis, Memphis Tenn.; two daughters, Nancy Davis, Memphis, and Charleen Davis, Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Bernice Criss, Daytona Beach, and Electa Strong, Prattsville, Ala.; brother, Guy Davis, Daytona Beach.
