Walter Shivers, Pinal Drive, was pronounced dead on arrival Aug. 22 at Eloy Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the Valley Funeral Home chapel. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. The Rev. Joseph Morris will officiate. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Mr. Shivers was born Sept. 14, 1907 in Oklahoma. A retired farm laborer, he had been a resident of Eloy for 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mae, of Eloy; his daughters: Pauline Stevens, of TX, Lucillia Buttons and Billie Smith, both of MT, Folicy Shivers, of CA; sons: Walter Jr. and Tommy Shivers, both of CA; stepdaughter, Birdie Harris, of Phoenix; and several grandchildren.
