Ada L. Douglas, 92, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at her residence. She was born in Adams County on June 19 1908, the daughter of the late William A. and Louella (Frump) Roberds. She was a member of the Louden Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Douglas of Hillsboro; three sisters, Mary Gall, Alta White and Hazel Shoemaker, all of Hillsboro; special friends, Mary Mahaffey and Katie Morgan Tate; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl S. Douglas, on Sept. 20 1977; one daughter, Eldine Lucille Douglas, on May 17, 1935; two brothers and eight sisters. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug 1, at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring, with Wayne Adams officiating. Burial followed in the Locust Grove Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Louden Methodist Church, c/o Shirley Douglas, 402 South Elm Street, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
