Services were held in the Newcastle Assembly of God Church with Rev W.A. McCann, the pastor, officiating. He was assisted by Rev Clarence Lowe of Big Spring. Mr. Davis was a retired cotton ginner. He had lived in Newcastle since 1908.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Buck Johnson; four sons, Luke of Eastland, Lois of Wichita Falls, Jack of Graham, and Lynn of Olney; two brothers - Lum and Lee; one sister - Miss Norma Davis; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
