Tristom was the third child of Ulysses Sherman and Priscilla Violetta "Lettie" (Stilwell) Clark. He was born on the US Clark Home place at the Meramec River crossing of Route 32/72 seven miles east of Salem. On February 11, 1928 in Salem, Dent, Missouri he married Roxie Ann Walker (1910-2000), and helped on his parents' place where his first son was born. Tristom tried several jobs as a young man, including working at Indian Trails Park, near Sligo, where his second son was born (on the Schermesser place). Their third son was born on the Drain place, about 1/2 mile west of his parents' home place. Their fourth child, a daughter, was born after their move to Hughesville. He and Roxie moved from Salem in 1940, to Hughesville, Pettis County, Missouri, and farmed on the Osage Farm Project, milking cows. After leaving in 1944, they moved to Lincoln, where Audrain graduated from high school, and Nelson (where John and Fred graduated) Missouri. Their daughter graduated from Smithton high school. They dairy farmed in the area the rest of their lives, settling in Smithton, Missouri, where he passed away, and Roxie lived until 2 months before her own death in 2000.
