George L. Branson, 78, of Victoria, died March 20, 2005.
He was born Feb. 28, 1927, in Hand, Ark., to the late Lee Andrew and Libbie Ellen Sherwood Branson. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He worked at Eaton Axel in Cleveland and Skytop Brewster in Victoria. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Western Hills Baptist Church in Nursery.

Survivors: wife, Pearl Branson; daughters, Wanda June Steudel of Waite Hills, Ohio, Sandra Kay O'Dell of Chardon, Ohio, Karen Lynn Busser of San Diego, and Cheryl Ann Brown of Goliad; sons, Rodger Leon Branson, James David Branson, and Stephen Edwin Branson, all of Victoria, Richard Dale Branson of Galveston, Ind., Gary Lee Branson of Houston, Dennis Lester Branson of Bazzetta, Ohio, and Christopher Michael Branson of Nursery; sister, Laura Blair of Salem; brother, Charlie Edward Branson of Moneta, Va.; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: sister, Ellen Lawrence; and one infant brother.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock, Ark.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Western Hills Baptist Church in Nursery.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Hall's Chapel near Jordan, Ark. Burial will be at Hand Cemetery. Eddie's Family Funeral Home, Calico Rock, Ark., 870-297-8586.
