He was born August 9, 1876, in Brookston and lived all his life in the area. On November 9,1899, he was married to May Timmons who died August 13, 1947. He was a retired farmer and member of Badger Grove Community Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harry (Helen) Tam of Delphi; two sons, Herbert Ford of Rt. 4, Delphi, and Ralph E. Ford of Brookston; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson and Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston with the Rev. Duncan MacNab officiating. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Brookston.
