H. Eugene workman, 63, of Dixie, Nicholas County, died March 19, 1991, in Montgomery General Hospital after a short illness.

He was a locomotive mechanic and retired from Elkem Metals, Alloy. He was a member and trustee of Ida Baptist Church, Bentree.

Surviving wife, Bernice Brady Workman; daughters, Charlotte Facemire of Belva, Daisy Shrewsbury and Shelia Sears both of Dixie; sons, Randal of Dixie, Bradford of London, Ernest of Lizemore, Calvin of Bentree, Tommy of Ripley, Neal of Monroe, NC, David of Matthews, NC; sisters, Maysel Litton, Alta Brady and Ida Paxton, all of Clay; brothers, Hollie of Mayel, Cardell of Rittman, Ohio, Alton of Cowen; 22 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11:30 am Thursday at Ida Baptist Church Baptist Church, Bentree with Rev. Wallace Hamrick and the rev Clarence Morton officiating. burial will be in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.
