Walker F. Wheeldon, 69, a native of the northern part of the county and a prominent farmer, died March 26, following a lingering illness. He had been confined to his home most of the time during the past 18 months.

He was the son of the late George and Sarah Frances (Barron) Wheeldon and had lived in this county his entire life. He was for many years a member of the Liberty Baptist church and was a faithful member as long as his health would permit.

He was married to Nizzie Estes Jan. 28, 1898, and to this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Vernelle W. Zeller, who is making her home with her mother while her husband, Bliss Zeller, is serving overseas.

Other survivors are three brothers, Alfred Wheeldon of Pulaski county, Milton Wheeldon of Waynesburg, and Arthur E. Wheeldon of Stearns.
