William Robert Brown was raised in Orleans, Barnstable, Massachusetts. He was a semi-pro baseball player for Orleans. He served in WWII with the Army Air Corp and was in the landing of Normandy, France. He married in South Orleans, Massachusetts at the Episcopal Church on 5 July 1947 to Ramona I. Burroughs of Milton, NH and with this marriage he gained a young 23 month old daughter, Gloria Jean Burroughs. Bill and Mona briefly settled in Cape Cod in his hometown of Orleans. A couple years after marrying they moved to New Hampshire and there he and Mona raised their family. Gloria was raised by her maternal grandparents. Bill and Mona lived most of their married life in Milton, NH. He and Ramona divorced in 1966, but, after a couple years they got back together, but never remarried. He worked in shoe factories as a Supervisor in the shipping department and later he went to work for Thompson Firearms in Rochester, NH where he retired. He loved to fly fish and an avid gardener. Many of his flowers during season were purchased by the local churches in Milton for Sunday services. Candlepin Bowling was also a passion of his.

Bill died of a massive coronary. His pacemaker was 1 yr overdue in being replaced.


Bill was survived by his ex wife Ramona and

children:

Stepdaughter Gloria Jean b in NH 1945 and spouse John E "Lucky" Leary III.

Bonnie Lee b in NH 1950 and spouse Edwin G Harper.

Gloria's children: Hollie, Shannon, Erin, Heather, John IV.

Bonnie's children: Brittany, Madelene, Jolene, Dollene.
