DEATH TAKES FRANK AIKEN.
Funeral Services Will Be Held at Trinity Church This Afternoon.
Frank M. Aiken died yesterday at 5 o'clock at his residence, 36 Stonewall Street, after an illness of five months. He was a confederate veteran, having served through the civil war with Cobb's Legion. He was born in Greeneville, East Tennessee, March 18, 1838, and moved to Atlanta in 1854. He has been a resident of Atlanta ever since. He was widely known in the building world and was a recognized authority in building circles.

For twelve years he held the office of Assistant Building Inspector of this city, retiring last July. He was a consistent member of Trinity Methodist Church and an active mission worker, and a willing contributor to this cause. He was intimately connected with the building of three mission churches. He was also a hard Sunday School worker and has made some of the best maps now used in Sunday schools.

He is survived by one son, W. F. Aiken, a well-known contractor of this city.

The funeral will take place at Trinity church this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Drs. J.W. Lee and J.E. Dickey officiating. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery.

The friends and relatives of Mr. F. M. Aiken and Mr. W. F. Aiken are invited to attend the funeral of the former from Trinity Methodist Church, Sunday afternoon at 2:30. The following gentlemen are requested to act as pallbearers and meet at the residence, 36 Stonewall Street, at 2 o'clock: Colonel E. W. Martin, W. P. Pattillo, George B. Hinman, F. A. Pittman, J. C. Huff, J. I Mayson, Dr. J. W. Lee and Dr. J. A. Dickey, of Emory College. Interment Oakland.
