"Together Again" COALVILLE- Our wonderful mom, grandma and great-grandma, Betty June Wheaton Piercy, left to join the love of her life, our dad, on Sunday, April 29, 2007 at her home in Coalville, Utah at the age of 81 after suffering from the complications of cancer. Mom was surrounded by her family and those she loved most during this time of trial. Betty was born July 14, 1925 in Ogden, Utah, to William Jacob and Emma Elizabeth Staples Wheaton. She was one of nine children. Betty married Robert F. Piercy (Bob) on January 11, 1946; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple. Betty and Bob lived their married life in Coalville, Utah, where they raised their four children: Darlene (William) Sallee of Meridian, ID; Robert (Verla) Piercy of Lyman, Wyoming; Don -Poo Bear- Piercy of Coalville, Utah; and Grant (Sally) Piercy of Hoytsville, Utah. Betty and Bob had 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Betty enjoyed quilting, shopping at the Summit and Brown's Dairy, and making fruit cakes and caramels with her sisters. She was an active member of the LDS Church in the Coalville 1st Ward and fulfilled many assignments including teaching primary and helping with the baptismal clothing. Betty loved her many friends, family members and home teacher, David Wilde. Betty is survived by her sisters: Ellen Salmon, Athaleene Moore and Barbara (Glen) Blonquist; sister-in-law, Loretta Wheaton and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Robert F. Piercy, her parents, her brothers: Jack, Frank and Oscar; her sisters: Dorothy and Marjorie; brothers-in-law Clyde Salmon and Frank Moore, and sister-in-law Beth Wheaton. Her family wishes to thank Sheri Ferrell, George Heare and Dr. Wain Allen for their unselfish love and service to Betty and her family. We will never forget them.
