Nettie Levora Aldridge Owen was born March 7, 1892 in the Shady Grove Community of Morgan County, Alabama to Reverend William Warren Aldridge and Iris Rosalor Parker Aldridge.

She married Thomas Robert Owen, a son of James L. "Jim" Owen and Lutie M. Livingston Owen.

The children of Nettie and Thomas Owen are Arthur Owen, Alton Glen Owen, Orval Dee Owen, Lucile Smith and Little Ruth Owen.

Mrs. Owen died November 18, 1971 in Decatur, Alabama, at the age of 79.
