"Mrs. Josie Coar, wife of Earnest Coar, died Saturday in her home, 1024 W. 7th Street, and funeral services were held today at 2 p.m. in the Allen Chapel. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. William N. Burton officiated. Mrs. Coar was a life resident of Monroe County, born in Harrodsburg, the daughter of J.C. and Sara Teague Stultz. She was a member of the Fairview Methodist Church. Survivors are the husband, a brother, Wesley Stultz, Route 5, a sister, Mrs. Fred East, Nashville Road, and six stepchildren, including Mrs. Mabel Brasheaber, Bruce Whisenand, Mrs. Orville Clay, Harley and Cleo Spicer and Robert Coar. Pallbearers were Eugene, Clarence and Russell Teague, Albert Skirvin, Orval Combs, and Merle Butcher.
