Andrew C. Baker, 77, Succumbs on Trip
Andrew C. Baker, 77, 6232 35th Ave., died enroute to Everett, Wash., where he had planned to visit his son.
He was born in Bremen, Ind., on Oct. 20, 1882, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Baker. As a boy he moved to St. Jospeh, Mich., and recieved his education there. As a young man he sailed the Great Lakes and later came to Kenosha and took up residence in Salem.
On May 3, 1902, he was united in marriage to Miss Mamie Hartnell who proceded him in death, Sept. 2, 1950. In 1919, he returned to Kenosha and had made his home here since that time. He was a city employee for a number of years and later worked at American Motors, retiring in 1950.
He is survived by two sons and three daughters, Leslie E. "Bus" Baker, Everett, Wash.; Stanley R., Mrs. Fred Schonschek, Mrs. Ben Weiss, Mrs. Joseph Soens, all of Kenosha; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Smith, Coldwater, Mich., Mrs. Lucy Goodrich, Jackson, Mich., and Mrs. Maude Brooks, Kenosha; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A son, Theodore, preceded him in death.
