Gladys Snartland was born January 13, 1907 to Saave and Helene (Svenkeson) Snartland in Moland Township. She grew up and attended school there. She married J. Clarence Anderson on July 11, 1925 in the Concordia Parsonage near Glyndon. They lived in Moorhead until he died June 7, 1964. She moved to the family farm near Glyndon and continued to live there until entering the nursing home in December of 1992. Gladys passed away on Friday, October 8, 1993 in a Fargo nursing home, at the age of 86.
She is survived by one son, Glenn C. (Marcia), Moorhead; two brothers, Gerhard, Glyndon, MN, Sidney (Liz), Crookston, MN; two grandchildren, Laura and Christopher, Moorhead; two nieces, Nancy Slate, Gail Johnson; and two nephews, Ronald and Phillip Snartland.
