Thomas' 1st wife, Sarah, died in 1871 & he remarried. His 2nd wife was Lydia A Hunter Pogue Moore. They married in 1873. Their son, Otis F. Moore was born a year later.

From his obit and death certificate:
Twin of Jane Moore DeHority. Born about four miles from Elwood in Tipton county, he later moved to Elwood.
Thomas was elected sheriff of Madison county in 1882 and served four years.
Both wives and all except son Otis preceded him in death.
Burial on Death Certificate stated Elwood City Cemetery.
