Mrs. Annie G. McSherry, 83, wife of Charles E. McSherry, McSherrystown, died Thursday at noon,at Hanover General Hospital, where she was admitted February 28.
A daughter of the late John and Mary Brothers Busby, she was a member of the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Arch-Confraternity of the Passion. Surviving, besides her husband, are nine children, Mrs. Marie Leech, Gettysburg; Robert P. McSherry, Hagerstown; Carey McSherry, New Oxford R. 2; Mrs. Florence Brenner, Hanover; Mrs. Esther Forry and Leon McSherry, both of New, Oxford; Rodney C. McSherry, McSherrystown; Joseph McSherry, Red Lion and Burnell E. McSherry, McSherrystown; 23 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Hesson, and Mrs. Alice Baker, both of Hanover, and a brother, Curtis Busby, York.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. with prayers at the Walter Funeral Home, McSherrystown, followed by a requiem Mass at 9 a.m. at the Annunciation Church. Her pastor, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Patrick F. McGee, will be celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. (Gettysburg Times - 3/6/1964)
