Emma was born to the union of Robert Hugh BOB and Mary Elizabeth ELIZA Barbee Pigg in Shelby County, Texas....her siblings were a sister only known as 'J E' born the year before her, a brother Robert D Pigg B/1879 and another brother who lived to adulthood, Marshall Eddie Pigg 1881-1936. She was 14 years old when on August 9, 1890 she married Jesse Robert Hill, Jr also of Shelby County, Texas...who was 25. For most all of her life she was a homemaker in rural Shelby County....Name of Mary Emma PIGG, date and place of marriage in "Marriage Records of Shelby County Texas 1882 - 1936 "- J. B. Sanders, vol. 2, p. 207

Mary Emma 'Mandy' Pigg Hill Watson was my maternal great grandmother whom I grew up around on her visits from Shelby County Texas to the home of her son, Coyle Brice CB Hill, Sr in Houston, Texas.....during the 1950s..
