County Man Dies

Andrew James Blythe, a long time Morris County resident passed away at the home of Paul Russell in Council Grove early this morning. He was 85 years old September 28; and had been a farmer until he retired several years ago.

Born at LaHarpe, Illinois, he moved to Kansas in 1901 and lived near White City and Dwight until 1934 when he moved to Dwight with is family. For the past several months he and his wife have made their home with the Russell's.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, Cecil of Liberal, Mo., Dale of Dwight, and Loy of Topeka, and one daughter, Aucha Parker of Council Grove, two sisters, Mrs. Kate Shutwell, LaHarpe, Ill., and Mrs. Hattie Brown, Venice, Calif., 19 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Three children, Clara Burton, Cephas and George preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, October 25 at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist church in Dwight with Rev. Frank Parker and Rev. Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in the Dwight cemetery.
