Christ Oestreich was born June 19, 1959 in Alt Messer Russia. He migrated to America in 1876 with his parents, settling in Franklin County Nebraska. After three years he moved to Culbertson, Neb. and in 1882 came to Walla Walla. A year later he moved to Bicketon where he was united in marriage with Anna Heimbigner in 1885. In 1906 he settled on a farm one and half miles nothr of Ritzville. In 1916 he madde his home in Ritzville and lived here until the time of his death. The deceased was alway in good health. However, in later years his condition became somewhat weakened due to old age. A week before his death he caught a severe cold which developed into pneumonia. He was called to rest after a brief illness last Saturday, Feb. 25 at the age of 73 years.
He is surived by his wife and two sons; Joe and Ben of Ritzville and eight grandchildren and one brother and two sisters. Five sons and one daughter preceded him in death.
