Hannah Needham Kelly was the second of seven children born to Edmund Needham (1786-1860) and his wife Margaret Winn (1784-1876) of Danvers, Essex Co., MA. She married Moses Kelly (1806-1858) in Danvers on March 22, 1831. The couple settled in Lynn, Essex Co., MA where they lived on Bond St. and where Moses worked as a brick maker. They raised eleven children: John (born 1832), Edmund James (b. 1833), William Needham (b.1835), Moses Jr. (b. 1838), Jonathan (b. 1840), Ellen (b. 1841), M. Cyrena (b. 1844), Adeline W. (1846), Joel Stone (1848), Laura Ann (b. 1851), and Daniel Needham (b. 1854). Hannah died at the age of 75 years, reportedly from typhoid pneumonia.

NOTE: Hannah Kelly's exact date of death is in dispute. Massachusetts VR (vol. 373, p. 246) give date as April 24. However, Hannah's grave marker and the Kelly family Bible record note her date of death as April 28. Since cemetery records note burial on May 1, it is probable that April 28 is the correct date.
