Obituary for Robert Seymour Hults

Robert Seymour Hults, 86, passed away December 13, 1992 in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Mr. Hults was born in Lapeer (New York), the son of Elmer E. and Mable Hunt Hults. He predeceased by Dorothy Smith Hults and Estelle Hults.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie Hults; two sons, Charles Manson of La Habra, California and Gerald Elmer of Columbus, Georgia; two daughters, Mary Gurley of Los Alamos, New Mexico and Dorothy Thomas of Dunbar, West Virginia; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
The Hults family moved to Goldsboro in 1950, from the farm now owned by Harry Hess. He was a construction supervisor for 34 years before his retirement. Mr. Hults was very active in civic affairs and a member of the Goldsboro First Presbyterian Church. He was a master gardener, and had planted his winter crops, just prior to his death.
Bob Hults was known as the "Surge Man". He sold and installed milk coolers and milking machines in the Central New York area. These improvements made life better and farming more profitable for a whole generation of our neighbors.
The Hults Family will be remembered for being very active in this community and the Presbyterian Church. From the 20's through the 40's two generations of Hults children were leaders in the Marathon School Clubs and affairs. The community extends condolences and love to the Hults Family.
