YADKINVILLE – Mr. Giles A. Driver, 75, of Rt.1 Yadkinville, died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Lula Conrad Hoots Memorial Hospital in Yadkinville. He was born in Yadkin County to Henry and Sarah Shore Driver. He was a retired farmer. His wife, Mrs. Lillian Hutchens Driver died May 30, 1968. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Caudle, Mrs. Roxie Caudle, Mrs. Mary Lou Trivette, and Miss Ernestine Driver all of Yadkinville, seven sons, Bruce, John Henry, James, Miles, Ronda, and Rubin Driver all of Yadkinville, and Frank Driver of Woodlawn, Va.; four sisters, Mrs. Jennie Spear and Mrs. Minnie Hutchens both of Yadkinville, Mrs. Alma Snow and Mrs. Gertrude Davis both of Boonville; three brothers, Lon and Sidney Driver both of Boonville and Woodrow Driver of Winston-Salem; 36 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Mackie-Gentry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Junior Royall and the Rev. Larry McEntire. Burial will be in Deep Creek Friends Church Cemetery.
