Anthony S. Badgley died at the residence of his son, 207 North Beaudry Avenue, Los Angeles, Cal., on the morning of December 19, at 6 o'clock a.m. Born in St. Clair county, Illinois, September 18, 1818. Funeral service from the house to Evergreen Cemetery, Saturday afternoon 1:30 p.m. Rev. Joseph Smale conducting services.

The subject of the above notice is the last one of the old pioneer stock of Badgleys. He moved to Butler, Bates county, Missouri in the year 1876; served as Justice of the Peace twelve years in the city of Butler, and made a very efficient and popular officer during that time. In the year 1892 he moved with his family on a ranch at Buena Park, Orange county, California. From Buena Park he moved with his son to Los Angeles, April, 1901.

Hon. Jefferson Rainey, Wm. C. Benson, George Hull and A. G. Badgley served as pallbearers on the occasion. A.G.B.
