Services for Jesse C. Berry, 81, Horseshoe Bend, who died Thursday at an Emmett hospital will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Beatty Chapel by the Rev. William E. Lisebery of the United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Sweet.
Mr. Berry was born in Montgomery County, Kans., Dec. 31, 1888, and moved to Boise in 1904, where he was employed as a motorman for the Boise Valley Traction Co. for many years. During World War II, he worked as a bonded policeman in California, retiring in 1955. He as a member of the Methodist Church. His wife died in 1968. He had lived in Horseshoe Bend, since 1967.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Eileen Coffin of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Lenora Riddle of Redwood City, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Mamie Geerhart of Horseshoe Bend; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
