Tombstone appears to read Leiteb, not Leiter; however, in looking at the inscription for Barbara, there is almost no distinction between a "b" and a "r".
Barbara's maternal grandmother, Catherine Holly, is buried this cemetery.

Phebe Holly Leiter's application for a widow's pension 3 Jun 1875 includes:
"She further declares that she was married to the said John B Leiter on the 12th day of May AD 1857 in the County of Montgomery State of Ohio by Reverend John A Leiss a Minister of the Gospel and that her name before such marriage was Phebe Holly that the names and ages of the children, the issues of said marriage, under sixteen years of age at the time of the decease of her said husband, and the place of their residence are as follows, viz:
Anna C Leiter, aged 17 years Born April 23, 1858
Henry Leiter, aged 14 years Born February 3rd 1861
Laura C Leiter aged 11 years Born December 18th 1863
Ellen L Leiter aged 9 years Born September 18th 1865
James S Leiter aged 6 years Born January 15th 1869
Jno K Leiter aged 4 years Born December 23rd 1870
All residing in the City of Sedalia, Mo
Except one other child Barbara Augusta Leiter Born December 1st 1860 who died October 9th 1861."
