John Julius Thorderson was born in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland, the son of Swain [?] & Helga Arnson Thorderson. He married Emma Marie Jensen on December 5, 1894 in Manti, Utah. They were the parents of a daughter, Christina Matilda Thorderson. Emma died in 1895. He married Freida Olaffson on Jan 3, 1906 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The 1920 Cleveland, UT census shows their children as : Julius, Lawrence E., Parley E. and Helga S. Thorderson. They were also the parents of Emma Pauline and another baby daughter.
John was a farmer. He died of a probable myocardial infarction at age 78.
